Wine Tasting with Winemaker, Giacomo Alari with catered Italian Charcuterie
For more than 22 years, Florence native GiacomoAlari has followed a life-long passion for Italian wine.Today, as the Export sales Manager, Wine educatorand Brand Ambassador for Tenute del Cerro, Giacomo brings the acclaimed wines of the group to marketsacross the globe. Following his education in classical studies and agricultural studies, Giacomo worked at Firenze a Tavola, a major food and wine event company in Florence. He later became a field specialist in vine nutrition, focusing on Chianti, Chianti Classico , Brunello di Montalcino and Nobile di Montepulciano. In 1996, Giacomo opened a restaurant in Versila along the coast and spent seven years as a wine buyer, visiting wineries throughout the country and deepening his knowledge of Italian wine.
In 2003, Giacomo joined the sales team at Cantine Leonardo da Vinci. He was quickly promoted to manager and later joined the Cantine’s export team. Working together with long time wine experts , Giacomo enjoys sharing his passion for the wines with customers and connoisseurs around the world. In July 2016 Giacomo decided to join Tenute del Cerro as Export Sales Manager.
